Yes, little did I realise that Johan Elmander read my last post, he must have done as he went and scored against Wigan.
Ok - perhaps not but to be serious it is such a relief to write that Johan actually scored for Bolton, not to get greedy but a few more would also help. That wasn't the only pleasant surprise at the Reebok on Saturday! For once it wasn't a Bolton Defender who had an afternoon to forget, Gary Caldwell will "not be happy with his performance" as they say. Kevin Davies scored a penalty, first in his career, and for that matter we got awarded a penalty. And we actually beat Wigan - I thought we had forgotten how to.
Fabrice Muamba surprisingly dribbled with the ball, however it looked suspiciously like he almost fell over it, but then he shot on target and scored. Another pleasant surprise would be Kevin Davies getting a well deserved England call up but I suppose you cannot have everything.
One other piece of news is that ex Bolton stalwart Phil Brown has been relieved of his duties as Manager at Hull. The favourite to succeed him is apparently Gary Megson. Somedays you really count your blessings.
